Lisa Boyne Speaks Out About Donald Trump’s Cringeworthy Upskirt Leering
Attorney Lisa Bloom presents her client, also named Lisa, who describes an encounter with Donald Trump in the mid-1990s. The client explains she was invited to dinner via Trump’s limousine, during which he spent the drive disparaging and objectifying women. At the restaurant, she was seated at a semicircular table alongside modeling agency owner John Casablancas, who pressured her to drink and was hostile when she refused. Casablancas then had models walk across the table to sit next to Trump, who would look up their skirts and comment on what he saw. Disturbed by what she witnessed and afraid she would be made to do the same, she excused herself to the bathroom and left, at which point she overheard Trump tell Casablancas that she was leaving because he had rejected her sexually.
She says she shared the story informally over the years but was generally dismissed, and only began speaking out more seriously in 2016 after reading a New York Times article about Trump’s private behavior toward women that closely matched her own experience. She says she decided to go on camera after learning that another woman Bloom was representing dropped her case due to threats and intimidation, feeling strongly that women should not be silenced or bullied out of sharing their stories of harassment and abuse.
