Managing Partner
New York City, NY
Arick Fudali is the Managing Partner of Bloom & Fudali and has dedicated his career to fighting for justice for those who need it most.
Arick grew up in South Florida and was a national speech and debate champion in high school. He went to the University of Florida for college and as a gifted and created performer, began his studies as a film major and theater minor.
Arick’s passion for justice and standing up for what is right was put on display early on when he worked at an elite tennis camp as a tennis instructor in college. One day, Arick was put in charge of the least talented group of kids at the camp (called “the pavilion kids”) and learned that this group was not allowed to participate in the end-of-session tournament, something the campers looked forward to all summer long. Arick inquired with the camp director and was told the kids “slowed down the tournament”. He pleaded with the director to let them play but was shutdown. Seeing the disappointment on their faces, Arick decided to take matters into his own hands. Arick got together with the oldest campers and organized a camp-wide sit-in in support of the Pavilion Kids. At Arick’s direction, ever single kid at camp sat on the tennis court after lunch and chanted “let them play! let them play!” and refused to get up until their request was met. The camp director had no other choice but to let the Pavilion Kids play in the tournament, an announcement that was met with cheers and jubilation by all the campers. Arick was fired that afternoon.
In his junior year of college, Arick took a “trial advocacy” class as an elective. He immediately excelled in that class and discovered his talent for trial work. It was at that time that Arick decided that he could combine his creativity, performance skills, passion for justice, and speech and debate talent into becoming a trial lawyer. Arick then attended The University of Florida School of Law. While there, Arick studied abroad at the Universidad de Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain, and interned for the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office. He graduated law school in 2010.
Arick began his legal career as a prosecutor at the District Attorney’s Office in Broward County, FL. Arick’s trial skills became immediately apparent as Arick went undefeated, winning every trial he prosecuted as lead counsel. Unfortunately, Arick learned quickly that putting 18 year-olds in jail for marijuana possession was not his true passion and he pivoted quickly to the civil arena. Arick then began representing victims of child sexual abuse, primarily against clergy members and youth leaders. During this time, Arick took on the major Archdiocese’s around the country as well as school districts, universities, and the Boy Scouts.
In 2018, Arick decided he wanted to pursue a more global approach to victims’ rights and joined what was The Bloom Firm, led by Lisa Bloom. Arick quickly demonstrated that he was a gifted advocate and trial attorney and within a year, secured a $12 million dollar verdict as co-lead chair in a sexual harassment trial. Since then, Arick has become the Managing Partner of Bloom & Fudali and has made a name for himself as a nationally recognized and respected trial attorney and civil rights advocate. Arick has taken on fashion moguls, professional athletes, billion-dollar corporations such as Twitter, police departments, the federal government, A-list celebrities such as Sean “Diddy” Combs and Kanye West, and even the most prolific predator of our time, Jeffrey Epstein.
While at the firm, Arick has participated in multiple jury trials and arbitrations as co-lead chair with Lisa Bloom where they have secured tens of millions of dollars in multiple verdicts for their clients. Arick is also a skilled negotiator and has led hundreds of private and confidential mediations for his clients, where he has settled hundreds of cases valuing at millions and millions of dollars for his clients throughout his career. Arick has also been instrumental in expanding laws for victims in the United States. He has been credited for leading the seminal cases that expanded the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (“TVPA”) to protect victims of sexual exploitation by those in power. Arick has also been one of the loudest voices for survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and has been fighting and advocating for full transparency from the DOJ in releasing the files.
Arick’s advocacy does not end in the Courtroom, however. He is a regular guest on many national media news outlets such as CNN and MSNOW, as well as many podcasts and interviews with independent journalists, where Arick passionately advocates for his clients and victims everywhere.
When Arick is not fighting for the rights of his clients, he enjoys living in NYC, where he is an avid music fan and concertgoer. Arick’s favorite bands/groups are The Strokes, Vampire Weekend, OutKast, Interpol, and Geese. Arick also has a beagle-mix rescue dog named Cortez, named after the Neil Young song “Cortez the Killer”.
