Lisa Bloom is Honored With the Shining World Award by SMTV

At a Friends of Eternity gathering, attorney Lisa Bloom was recognized for her animal rights advocacy and presented with the Shining World Hero Justice Award by Supreme Master Ching Hai, along with a $21,000 donation to Social Compassion and Legislation (SCIL), the California-based animal advocacy group she has partnered with. In her remarks, Bloom highlighted several legislative wins the group has secured in California, including a ban on cosmetics tested on animals taking effect in two months, a prohibition on pet store sales of puppy mill animals, a ban on trapping animals for fur, and a requirement that vegan meal options be available in all public buildings including hospitals, prisons, and nursing homes. She expressed enthusiasm about normalizing plant-based eating and announced that expanding vegan options into schools is the group’s next legislative goal.
