She describes a dinner where O’Reilly mentioned his close friendship with Fox chairman Roger Ailes and offered her a contributor role on his show, then at the end of the evening invited her to his hotel suite. When she declined, he became hostile, told her to forget any career advice he had given her, and subsequently grew cold and distant toward her on set. She says the situation was ultimately resolved by a producer informing her that her segment would be put on hold for the summer, and when she followed up after the summer ended, Fox stopped responding to her entirely and replaced her with a colleague, effectively ending her opportunity at the network.
