William Shapiro is an associate at The Bloom Firm. He is a graduate of
Brandeis University, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in 1996, and
University of Cambridge, where he earned a Master’s of Philosophy in 1998.
William completed his education at The George Washington University School
of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2001.

William returned to California and began litigating cases in 2002. Over the
course of seventeen years of practice, William has represented a wide range
of people and businesses before state and federal courts in trial and on
appeal.

William has been active in litigating on behalf of low-income families,
through the San Francisco Bar Association’s Justice and Diversity Center,
representing them in landlord-tenant disputes, debt collection, and
discrimination matters. For his pro-bono work, William was recognized as an
Outstanding Volunteer for the Volunteer Legal Services Project in 2005,
2007, 2008, and 2009.

William is currently assisting in the representation of people who have
victimized by sexual assault
