Teri A. Gibbs is an associate attorney at The Bloom Firm. Teri received her B.A. in Psychology and minor in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University. Post-graduation, Teri was selected for the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs. As a Coro Fellow, Teri worked as a consultant for The Pittsburgh Promise, BNY Mellon, the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh, and The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Teri then received her M.S. in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University. At Carnegie Mellon University, Teri was a teaching assistant for Business English and Professional Writing and consulted for the Allegheny County Parks Department, the Pittsburgh Mayor’s Office of Innovation and Performance, and the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of City Services. Immediately before beginning law school, Teri worked as an Associate for the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation and helped to organize the County’s Innovation Week.
Teri received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she earned a merit-based scholarship and received two CALI awards. During law school, Teri was named one of the San Diego County Bar Association’s 2016 Diversity Fellows. Teri was a Summer Associate at Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP and a Certified Law Clerk for the San Diego Public Defender’s Office. Further, Teri served as the Events chair and Vice-President for the Black Law Student Association and contributor to the law school’s newspaper.
Prior to joining the firm, Teri was a law clerk at the San Diego sexual assault and employment firm, The Pride Law Firm, where she furthered her passion for helping victims seek justice.
In her free time, Teri enjoys hiking, attending dance classes, and spending time with her adorable puppy and family.
