Erica is a Senior Attorney at The Bloom Firm. She is currently admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and the District of Columbia. Erica received her Bachelor’s degree (2002) from Fordham University where she majored in Women’s Studies and minored in English Literature. Upon completion of her undergraduate education, Erica received her Juris Doctor degree (2005) and LLM (2009) from New York University School of Law. While attending law school, Erica was an intern for the Hon. Eric Washington, Chief Judge, of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
A seasoned litigator, Erica has handled a diverse range of litigation matters from inception through appeals in both federal and state courtrooms. Erica has represented clients in labor and employment matters, breach of contract, tortious interference, business conspiracy, fraud, criminal defense, medical malpractice claims, antitrust litigation, and class actions.
In addition to her experience in private practice, Erica was an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia and the Northern District of Florida. As a criminal AUSA, Erica prosecuted Sex Offense/Domestic Violence cases, in addition to child sex abuse cases. Erica also served as a Trial Attorney in the Department of Justice’s Commercial Litigation Branch, National Courts Section.
While attending college and law school in New York City, Erica performed as a Rockette at Radio City Music Hall for five years. When she is not practicing law, Erica enjoys teaching dance and musical theater to youth, teens, and adults.
